DESCRIPTION:For our final concert of the 2026-27 Suncoast Concert Band season\, music director Bob Stoll has chosen to throw an early birthday party to our great nation! HAPPY 250 will be a musical salute to Americans past\, present and future. The program will include a host of patriotic themed marches including: NATIONAL EMBLEM\, EMBLEM OIF UNITY\, EMBLEM OF FREEDOM and of course the all-time favorite STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER. Larger featured selections include the audience favorite Joseph Wilcox Jenkins’ AMERICAN OVERTURE FOR BAND\, an arrangement of BIG BAND CLASSICS\, George Cohan’s STAR SPANGLED SPECTACULAR and PATRIOTIC FANTASY\, Irving Berlin’s montage SONGS FOR AMERICA and we end with the stunning Carmen Dragon arrangement of AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL.
